Career Training

Our 8 week training programs are designed to strengthen the skills that you already possess and train you in skills required for industries that are hiring now! During your training you will be matched with a career coach that will help you overcome and navigate any barriers that you may be facing. Personal career coaches work with you not to find just a job, but meaningful employment that starts your career.

Participants have been placed in companies such as, Northside Achievement Zone, Pearson’s Candy Company, Hyatt Regency, Metropolitan Council, Summit Brewing, St Paul Hotel, Sunrise Community Banks, TechDump, Momentum Enterprises, Artspace, Copeland Trucking, Wholesale Produce Co, and Goodwill Easterseals.

A new session begins each month. Classes are held Monday-Thursday in the morning or afternoon.

Paid Internships

Internships give participants the opportunity to add stability and credibility to their resumes while demonstrating a strong work ethic to prospective employers. In cooperation with various organizations, TCR places eligible participants in real work environments for up to 20 weeks.

Starting in their second session in the program, participants are selected for internships based on their attendance and performance in other courses, their need for work experience, and their completion of the application and interview. In addition to completing duties assigned at their various work sites, all enrolled participants also meet as a class for one hour each week.
